After over a year of hard work, EWB Guelph and ESW (Engineers for a Sustainable World) Guelph are ready to share this report with the world! The report outlines the results from an early 2020 waste audit near our engineering building’s Tim Hortons and a survey of students conducted later in the year. This data tells us that, overwhelmingly, single-use Tim Horton’s cups are bought, used, and disposed of right in the engineering building. Shifting to a reusable mug option would create a significant decrease in waste generation and has received overwhelming support from students and professors alike (as shown by the survey results).
